Since our nation's capital has so many dog parks, we've put them in their own section! The City of Ottawa has many off-leash dog areas. Sometimes there are designated 'leash-optional' zones, and sometimes designated times of the day when dogs may be off-leash. Please pay attention to the signage for details. Regardless of whether dogs are on or off-leash, they must stay at least 5 meters from playgrounds and pools.
The list below only lists parks with off-leash areas. There are many other Ottawa parks where leashed dogs are welcome (see link above for details). There are a few parks as well where dogs are not permitted.
