The dog-friendly B&B in the Heart of Hastings County! At the Spotted Dog Bed and Breakfast we have three beautiful guest rooms, plus a number of public rooms for our guests to enjoy. A great place to just relax and put up your feet!

The Barbara Woodhouse room is our dog-friendly bedroom - it's large, comfy, inviting and relaxing - and allows you to bring your four-footed friends along with you on your quiet country getaway. This room features one queen-size bed and one twin to comfortably accomodate up to three adults.

The Somerset room is one of our favourites. A little smaller than our other guest rooms, it amply accommodates a queen sized bed and a small sitting area. With it's high ceilings, wicker furniture, ceiling fan and large window, this beautiful, quiet room brings to mind relaxing times in exotic locales. This is an ideal room for one or two adults.

The Hastings is our largest room. It's whimsical country charm is both restful and delightful. This room features high ceilings and four large windows, all of which contribute to its wide open airy feeling. One queen bed and one twin will comfortably sleep up to three adults.

Pet Policy:

Pets in residence. Guest pets: $10 extra per night per dog. Prearrangement preferred. 1 room to accommodate dog(s) and family (Barbara Woodhouse room). Outdoor kennel available.

Services and Amenities:

In-ground pool and expansive sun deck open in summer, satellite TV, bicycles, extensive library with puzzles, games, and more, fenced dog area for your convenience and your pet's enjoyment. Full breakfasts with fresh fruit and seasonal fare; dietary concerns accommodated on request.

Attractions:

The Madoc area is rich in heritage and activities. We are close to antiques, cheese factories, the Trans Canada Trail, arts and crafts vendors, flea markets, conservation areas and local theatre festivals.

We are about 500 yards from the West Highlands Golf Course, and only a few minutes from Moira Lake.

Winter visitors will enjoy snowmobile trails, cross-country skiing, and ice fishing.

Deposits and Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations must be received with 7 days notice. We require a one-night deposit to hold your reservation. We accept Mastercard, VISA and American Express. Personal cheques drawn on a Canadian bank are accepted, in which case full payment must be received in advance.
