Services and Amenities:All the motel units are capable of sleeping 2-6 persons, have free satellite TV & Radio, complimentary in-room coffee makers and wireless internet access. All units also enjoy balconied views of the lake & mountains and self-contained washrooms with toilet, sink & shower. Kitchenettes are fully equipped with cooking and eating utensils, 4-burner range w/oven and refrigerator. Microwave Ovens can be rented. We have a New Outdoor Barbecue Deck beside the Gazebo/Jacuzzi Hot tub.
Attractions:
The Kootenay Lake is a trophy fishing lake, 97 miles long and the longest inland lake in British Columbia, providing year-round fishing of the famous Gerrard Rainbow, Dolly-Varden, Kokanee Salmon, and Sturgeon, to name a few. The beach is a short 5 minute walk, across the road from the Motel, offering crystal clear waters for summer swimming and boating fun.
There are plenty of walking trails for you and your pet(s) to enjoy within a few meters of the motel.Pets are provided water and food dishes, doggy bags and treats upon check-in.
The Ainsworth Hot Springs Pools and Caves are unique to any other hot springs in the world, offering you panoramic views as you luxuriate in natural hot mineral POOLS, CAVES and HOT TUB temperatures ranging from 97 degrees F to 115 degrees F. (and hotter!). The invigorating Glacier Plunge, next to the caves and hot tub, provides you with an instant cool-down, before entering the larger outside Pool and Jacuzzi corner that have been cooled down to a comfortable 97 degrees F for pleasurable year-round swimming.
The hot springs are open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily and single or day passes can be purchased at the pool office.
Other activities are all nearby: hiking, trophy fishing, golfing, boating, downhill and cross-country skiing, exploring Cody Caves, historic touring, horseback rentals, 45 minute free ferry, the Glass House, and more! There are affordable Kayak, Boat and ATV rentals near by!
